Senior Accounts Payable Administrator
The Senior Accounts Payable Officer for Tortuga Rum Company Ltd. will efficiently process financial and operational transactions by ensuring the accuracy of accounts payable reports and maintaining accurate back-up documents. They will also closely monitor company expenses, budgets and guarantee that all unpaid invoices are processed by reviewing, reconciling, and issuing payments in a timely matter, while adhering to all confidential policies of Tortuga Rum Company
Key Duties and Additional Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Processing of invoices received, monitor adherence to procedures, processing payments and advising vendors.
- Properly charge entries to GLs and cost centers.
- Verify entries from multiple systems. Monitor data transfers between them.
- Compile, maintain and file/scan all reports, records, and other documents as required.
- Prepare expense reports for promotional items/events for rebilling to strategic partners.
- Posting and payment of credit card transactions
- Maintain, update and post recurring transactions such as rent, utilities and insurance.
- Review, control and approve expenses. This includes ensuring approval policies are adhered to.
- Communicate disputes to vendors and ensure that credit is received and posted when settled.
- Interact with internal staff for information, research or action.
- Prepare analyses of accounts, month end and ad hoc financial reports from large amount of data.
- Conduct audits of document trail and resolve any issues.
- Assist with the implementation of new Accounts payable processes in the Finance Department where needed.
- Prepare and present Accounts Payable information as required.
- Protect the company’s value by keeping information confidential.
- Conduct various inventory counts.
- Perform any other duties as required.
Qualifications and experience:
- Must possess a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- Minimum of four (4) years’ experience working with Accounts Payable or comparable area of Finance.
- Experience with data entry and/or Accounts Payable transactions.
- Knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Office, Business Central and Counterpoint SQL.
- Strong typing, computer, and administrative skills with knowledge of Windows-based work processing, database, and spreadsheet software management applications.
- Familiarity with basic accounting principles.
- Experience dealing with financial statements including Income Statements.
- Knowledge and/or experience in the use of online banking systems.

Salary: CI$40,000 – CI$55,000 per annum, commensurate with experience
