Marketing & Events Coordinator

The Marketing & Events Coordinator will support the execution of Tortuga Rum Company’s marketing strategy and events to drive brand awareness, attract new business, and maintain competitive market presence.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and contribute to marketing plans and brand activations targeting key audiences.
- Establish and maintain an online presence across websites, social media, blogs, email marketing, and other platforms.
- Plan, execute, and report on omni-channel, digital and social media campaigns,
- Coordinate with media partners for earned and paid media opportunities.
- Create a cross-platform content strategy and manage a content calendar to ensure cohesive brand messaging across channels.
- Track and analyze marketing campaign performance using KPIs, sales data, and customer feedback.
- Collaborate with Retail, Wholesale, and Brand teams to develop and implement effective marketing initiatives.
- Organize and support events such as trade shows, community engagements, and brand sponsored events, coordinating with internal and external partners to execute these events and activations.
- Ensure alignment of internal and external communications to reinforce brand messaging.
- Support internal communications and employee engagement initiatives.
- Create and maintain creative assets, including designing social media content, creating video reels, coordinating photo shoots, and producing print materials.
- Provide event and activation support to the wholesale team as needed.
- Organize and manage inventory of promotional materials and marketing collateral.
- Conduct competitive analysis on pricing, product offerings, and market trends.
- Build and nurture positive relationships with colleagues, internal clients, and external partners.
Qualification/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Management or related field.
- Minimum two (2) years prior experience in a marketing related role.
- Advance written and communication skills.
- Experience with analytics tools, and website content management systems.
- Advanced understanding of social media and digital marketing platforms.
- Previous experience with digital marketing strategies such as PPC, SEO, and managing paid social campaigns would be advantageous.

- Solid grasp of marketing strategies and tactics, including ad creation and product/service promotion.
- Comfortable with public speaking and on-camera/video interviews.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and own vehicle.
- Must be flexible to work evenings, weekends and/or public holidays when required for events.
