Senior Sales Representative

We are looking to hire a driven, customer-oriented, Senior Sales Representative to increase sales and lead our team of sales representatives. The Senior Sales Representative’s responsibilities include setting up a sales pipeline to determine the effectiveness of personal sales strategies, keeping abreast of the latest industry trends, and providing excellent after-sales service to retain customers accountable for promoting and growing sales, increasing brand awareness of all products within the company’s portfolio, a forward thinker with strategic vision and be a highly pro-active solutions finder.

This will be achieved via a sharp focus on beverages, fine wine and liquor sales to the wholesale, retail and hospitality industries whilst assisting with the activation of brand promotions and liaising with the Head of Wholesale in the coordination and completion of all partnerships and customer events.

Key Duties and Additional Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

  • Focusing and account managing assigned key client accounts, specifically TRC’s complete wine, spirits and non-alcoholic portfolio.
  • Ongoing sales efforts to increase sales and open new accounts, making new placements in both on and off premise accounts.
  • Achieving monthly sales goals.
  • Keeping the Head of Wholesale informed with a daily report via e-mail or by telephone.
  • Scheduling and conducting tasting events and product training with Tortuga sales representatives.
  • Merchandising, and occasionally, delivering products when necessary.
  • Supporting the wider sales team with knowledge & expertise in portfolio products, providing training as needed.
  • Working closely with HOD and Sales Representatives to promote the Company’s products, (especially wine and liquor) enhancing sales and brand visibility.
  • Preparation of weekly and monthly Sales Reports.
  • Improving sales of all Tortuga products in line with agreed targets, improving the image of Tortuga’s distributed brands by identifying and recommending promotional opportunities.
  • Liaising closely with the sales force in Tortuga stores to ensure that sales are maximized and product knowledge awareness is complete.
  • Coordinating with Head of wholesales and Sales Representatives to plan and carry out all TRC promotions, product events and Trade Shows.
  • Analyzing product performance, sales and customer responses, making recommendations for promotions and changes.
  • Spot checking the maintenance of temperature controlled storage facility for wines.

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Must possess a strong educational background with sales and marketing experience. Professional qualification in sales would be an asset.
  • Proven sales experience
  • Proven track record of achieving sales taregets
  • Strong negotiation and consultative sales skills
  • Must work on own initiative and be highly motivated.
  • Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to work under tight deadlines to meet the necessary requirements set out by the Company.
  • Must possess good communication skills and have the ability to get along well with people of multifarious ethnical backgrounds.
  • Must have strong technical skills and be able to work under pressure.
  • Must be computer literate with experience in using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Power BI.
